My Maid
My husband was said that I’m to extra care for the maid I had. Not only one but I almost always done the same mistake in caring maid. Once my first maid name was Lamrah. She was a very kind and diligent girl, she was only 15 years old when she work with me. I hope she’s not in under age worker category :D, I gave all attention to train her so she can work independent and serve my little family. I also take in my hearth with her, it meant that I’m not only had her as maid but also my attention to treat her as one of our little family. In fact not least than a year she just gone and never comeback after had visited her family in her village. Well, I was hurt inside that time, I guess she never treat me back as one of her family, just become another employer and I paid her.
Well, with my second and third and the fourth maid I made the same mistake, well I just treat them as a human being. We’re no different. But I also had the same story with them, their gone to seek higher income. As you now, I only paid them in range about 200 to 250 thousand rupiahs.
Bi Uun, this is my current maid. I love her as a part of my family, this one I gave 300 thousand rupiah as her salary not include her meal. And in future I would also love to give her only child a scholarship.
Why did I always done the same mistake? As my husband said ‘mistake’
You should know that maid is perhaps one of our mate, they come to work in our family and also taking care of our children, their hearth involve, their taking care of another child than her own! In my mind their done a great job. They must taking care another house moreover her own. So my appreciation for them is one of the top.
This current maid, bi uun, I always share my life story , every day happy and sad story, and she will just say ‘oh ya?’ ‘owh ko begitu?’ ‘ ya ampuun’ when she hear my story. She’s listened while brushing the floor, sweeping, or cleaning the plate. I hope she would love to stay serve me and my little family. I love her. Thank you. My best appreciation.
